I can do this - embracing the unknown.

Baby steps count.

Halfway through - taking deep breaths

Yes, I'm concerned!
Yes, I'm concerned!

Trying to smile through the tension.

Overcoming fear and embracing the unknown.

For those of you who have read my blogs over time, you may remember Hello Fear, My Name is Valoria, posted in 2021. I shared with my readers how fear had imposed itself in my life. On that beautiful day, taking in the Tennessee mountain air, I decided to ride (not an Uber) the SkyLift to the Gatlinburg SkyBridge, 500 feet above Gatlinburg, with a 30-foot glass walkway to walk over, as if I needed more adventure. The SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America. What was I thinking? Even now, I wonder!

So in my attempt to remind Fear who is in control, I decided to walk across another suspension bridge. The Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, CA. No glass floor to endure. With sweaty palms, I soon forgot the nervous feelings (couldn't have been butterflies, more like bumblebees). I arrived at a fascinating natural place that showcased its rainforest and treetop adventures. The crisp smell of fresh air as I explored the natural beauty dissolved all fear - now a distant thought.

Remember, fear is just an unknown state of mind, a space/place/person/ that's unfamiliar to us. Once we get the courage to lean into it to see what it's really about, we realize it's not as big as we think. It often opens up and invites us in to explore more and learn the beauty in it. So I invite you to move into the unknown, unfamiliar spaces that are calling you. Grant yourself permission to move forward towards your destiny.
